Service User Involvement

Service User Involvement is now a key focus area for the DATUS team. The aim is now not only to support and empower service users to plan their treatment journey but to also contribute to the deliver of local service provision.

DATUS firmly believe that the empowerment of service users and the recognition that they are key stakeholders in the treatment system will and should drive service development and improve outcomes for users.

As a first step, DATUS proposed a Birmingham wide forum run by service users for service users. The forum is now up and running and is being advertised in all Birmingham based treatment services.
